Notes and thoughts on Elder Mike Bouch’s message August 10, 2014
We are a diverse group of believers. What we have in common is the grace we receive from God, and we are called to a life of obedience.
Obedient is a word modern-day pastors hate to bring up because we resist the idea. When was the last time you prayed for God to make you more obedient?
Obedience is a theme that runs throughout the Old and New Testaments because it’s important. God wants our complete, total obedience.
We need to always be aware of how what we think, say and do will further the Kingdom of God. It’s not about us, it’s about God.
In any team sport, the team must come first. As believers, we are on God’s team, and we must put the team’s interests ahead of our own. Let God call the plays!
Nothing feeds us like the Word of God, so read the Bible, choose obedience, and ask God to rule your life.
