The walls are closed in, but we didn’t raise the roof – something to look forward to tomorrow. Building this house is a small step toward providing homes for the million plus Haitians who fled to the arid mountains for refuge after the 2010 earthquake and the 2011 hurricane. Thousands more remain in the city living in tents hoping to eat one meal a day. Friday, we’ll distribute food bags to now 200 families thanks to donations from the churches on this trip. God is good!
Time with children at the worksite, at VBS, and at the orphanage where we are staying give us daily opportunities to give and receive God’s love.
