The Pulse Nightclub Shooting: Making Sense of the Pieces
Thursday, June 30 • 7-8:30 p.m.
On June 12, a city best known for its proximity to “the happiest place on earth” became known for being the site of the country’s worst mass shooting when a terrorist killed 49 people and injured 53 others at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando.
Even as our community has pulled together in an awesome demonstration of unity and strength, most of us still have questions.
TPC member David Grow will attempt to answer many of your questions about the shooting itself, about terrorism and its objectives, about the dangerous phenomenon of Islamic extremism and about how we can survive future attacks during this special program on Thursday, June 30, 7-8:30 p.m., in the sanctuary.
Go here to read Dave’s thoughts on the Orlando terrorist attack, written just a few days following the tragedy. Dave brings a unique perspective to the issue: He is a survivor of the Pentagon attack of September 11, 2001 and of the DC sniper events in October 2002.
This program will include a presentation and open discussion. The community is invited, and there is no charge.
