Notes from Mike Bouch’s message on May 25, 2014
We are beginning a new chapter in the life of Tuskawilla Presbyterian Church. We must work together as we move forward in our search for a new pastor. We also must recognize that we are not the same as we were the last time we went through this process, and we can’t go back to the way things used to be. The disciples learned this after Jesus was crucified.
What is it about human nature that makes us want to know what others are doing before we do what God has called us to do? Over the next few months, we will all be asked to do the things necessary to get us through this time of transition. Take action — don’t wait and see what’s going to happen, don’t ask what others are doing. Jump in and be part of the blessing.
We have the opportunity to make our circle of believers bigger during this transition. This is an exciting time to be part of TPC, so invite former members to return and new people to join us.
We are unique. We are like no other church in Oviedo or even in the world, and we are eager to share the Gospel.
Our transition will be a time of testing. Be in constant prayer for our congregation and, as you pray, listen for God’s direction and act upon His call. We all have a place in God’s future and we are looking forward to a bright tomorrow.
