Barbara Byard Walters, 82, has returned home to be with the Lord after losing her battle with cancer.

Barbara served others with more than 50 years of nursing as an RN in West Virginia, New Jersey, and Florida. She was a member of Tuskawilla Presbyterian Church, where she served as both a deacon and elder leading the worship and education committees. She was a member of the choir, taught Sunday school, and dedicated much of her time to the church in both West Virginia and Florida. Caring for her orchids and roses was another source of joy and comfort for her.

Erickson both of Orlando, and her three great-grandchildren Quinn Erickson, Trent Erickson, and Michael Woodburn who knew and loved her as GG.

Other survivors include Barbara’s sister, Linda (Byard) Deveny, husband James Deveny, daughter Nancy and two grandchildren T.J. and Abigail, who reside in Ocala, FL. Linda’s son, Brooks, his wife, Jill, and her grandchildren Cody and Dacey reside in Georgia.
