Back to Church Sunday

Hey, how would you like to go to church with me this Sunday?”

Studies show that 82 percent of unchurched people would attend church if someone invited them. Yet, fewer than 2 percent of Christians ever invite an unchurched person to come to church.

Tuskawilla is joining the National Back to Church Sunday movement to help “Invite America Back to Church.”

Last year, 7,600 churches from 34 denominations participated in the movement, and together they gave out millions of invitations to church. This year, TPC is participating and we need your help. Let’s reach out to our friends, family and neighbors. People need to know that there is hope and a community of people like those at our church who will love them and do life with them. Did you know that most people who have dropped out of church haven’t lost their faith in God? They simply fell out of the habit of going to church. Some moved, some had a change in life circumstances, or some had a falling out with their church and drifted away. Most often, life just became too busy. This means many of them could be open to returning.

We encourage you to step out in faith and invite someone to rediscover church. We are planning a special service kicking off the 40 Days of Love Spiritual Growth Campaign and hosting a reception on Sept. 15 so that our new guests will feel welcome and comfortable. Inviting a friend is a simple gesture that could change someone’s life. You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to invite your friends and family to church with you.

To make it easy, we are including an insert each Sunday in the worship bulletin for you to give to your friends and family.

Blessings on your Outreach!
